Google Chrome Out-of-Bounds Read Vulnerability in AdFilter Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

Vulnerability

A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds read in the AdFilter component of Google Chrome has been identified. This issue is present in versions prior to 148.0.7778.96. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code within a sandboxed environment by using a specially crafted HTML page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution within a sandbox.

Remediation

Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.96 or later to address this vulnerability.
