Google Chrome Use-After-Free Vulnerability in ReadingMode Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the ReadingMode feature of Google Chrome. This issue affects versions prior to 148.0.7778.96. The vulnerability allows a remote attacker, who has compromised the renderer process, to execute arbitrary code within a sandboxed environment by using a specially crafted HTML page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution within the sandboxed renderer process.

Remediation

Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.96 or later to address this vulnerability.
