A time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the EnvíaloSimple: Email Marketing y Newsletters plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.4.5. The vulnerability arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'orderby' parameter, allowing authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject additional SQL queries. This exploitation could lead to the extraction of sensitive information from the database.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for time-based blind SQL injection, where an attacker can manipulate SQL queries to extract data from the database. This could include sensitive information such as user details or other private data stored in the database.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with administrator privileges can send a request to the WordPress REST API endpoint '/envialosimple/v1/contactsform7/getAllConfigs'. The 'orderby' parameter can be manipulated to inject malicious SQL code. The lack of proper input validation and the use of dynamic SQL query construction create the opportunity for SQL injection.
No known patch is available for this vulnerability. It is recommended to uninstall the affected plugin and find a replacement.
