GitLab EE Improper Validation Vulnerability Allowing Internal Host Access

Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in GitLab EE versions 18.8 prior to 18.9.7, 18.10 prior to 18.10.6, and 18.11 prior to 18.11.3. This issue could have allowed an authenticated user with control of a virtual registry upstream to make requests to internal hosts, due to improper validation.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access to internal hosts.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to GitLab EE versions 18.9.7, 18.10.6, or 18.11.3 to address this vulnerability.
