Google Chrome GPU Sandbox Escape Vulnerability on Windows

Vulnerability

A race condition in the GPU component of Google Chrome on Windows, in versions prior to 147.0.7727.117, allowed remote attackers to potentially escape the sandbox by using a crafted video file. This vulnerability has been assigned a medium severity rating by Chromium security.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a sandbox escape, allowing an attacker to execute code outside of the browser's restricted environment.

Remediation

Users can update to Google Chrome version 147.0.7727.117 or later to address this vulnerability.
