- <= 14.3.2
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the The7 theme for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 14.3.2. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on the 'title' component of the 'link' shortcode parameter, particularly within the 'dt_default_button' shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the affected pages.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users can update to version 14.3.3 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
