Google Chrome Passwords Insufficient Policy Enforcement Cross-Origin Data Leak Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the Passwords component of Google Chrome, in versions prior to 147.0.7727.101, allowed remote attackers who had compromised the renderer process to leak cross-origin data through a crafted HTML page. This issue was due to insufficient policy enforcement.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized cross-origin data leakage.

Remediation

Users can update to Google Chrome version 147.0.7727.101 or later to address this vulnerability.
