Google Chrome Media Insufficient Input Validation Vulnerability Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

A vulnerability exists in Google Chrome in the Media component, prior to version 147.0.7727.55, due to inadequate validation of untrusted input. This flaw enables a remote attacker, who has compromised the renderer process, to execute arbitrary code within a sandboxed environment by using a specially crafted HTML page.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution in a sandboxed environment.

Remediation

Users can update to Google Chrome version 147.0.7727.55 or later to address this vulnerability.
