NEX-Forms WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the NEX-Forms – Ultimate Forms Plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 9.1.11. The issue arises in the submit_nex_form() function, where insufficient input sanitization and output escaping allow unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the compromised page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the NEX-Forms WordPress plugin to version 9.1.12 or a newer patched version.
