JetEngine SQL Injection Vulnerability in WordPress

Vulnerability

A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the JetEngine plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.8.6.1. The issue arises in the 'listing_load_more' AJAX action, where the 'filtered_query' parameter is not properly validated. This allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate SQL queries and potentially access sensitive database information. The vulnerability is exploitable when a JetEngine Listing Grid with 'Load More' enabled is using a SQL Query Builder query.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, where an attacker can interfere with the application's database queries. This could lead to unauthorized data access or manipulation, depending on the database permissions.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the JetEngine plugin to version 3.8.6.2 or later.
