Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Stored and Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager (IOM) web application version 9.1.3. This vulnerability allows authenticated, remote attackers with guest or administrative privileges to perform stored or reflected XSS attacks against users of the web-based management interface.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to stored or reflected cross-site scripting, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's session.

Remediation

Affected customers are advised to upgrade to Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager version 9.1.3 or later. Instructions for upgrading managed hosts to version 9.0 are available in the Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager 9.0 Installation and Configuration Guide.
