A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability has been identified in the JP2 encoder of ImageMagick. This issue affects versions prior to 7.1.2-19 and prior to 6.9.13-44. The vulnerability arises when a user specifies an invalid sampling index, leading to potential memory corruption.
Exploitation of this vulnerability causes a heap out-of-bounds write, which can commonly lead to memory corruption and the possibility of arbitrary code execution.
Users can upgrade to ImageMagick versions 7.1.2-19 or 6.9.13-44 to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
