Salesforce Workbench Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Salesforce Workbench versions through 53.0.0. The issue arises in the footerScripts parameter, which fails to properly sanitize user input before it is rendered in the page response. This lack of input validation allows for cross-site scripting attacks targeting error pages.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Salesforce Workbench version 65.0.0 or later to address this vulnerability.
