Endian Firewall Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Proxy User CGI

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Endian Firewall versions through 3.3.25. The issue resides in the '/cgi-bin/proxyuser.cgi' script, where an authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary JavaScript into the 'user' parameter. This injected script is saved and executed when other users access the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
