Adobe After Effects Stack-Based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Adobe After Effects versions 26.0, 25.6.4 and earlier. This vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to Adobe After Effects version 25.6.5 or 26.2. These updates are available through the Adobe Download Center. For managed environments, IT administrators can use the Admin Console to deploy Creative Cloud applications to end users.
