Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.101.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'crsearch' parameter. These scripts could be executed if a user is tricked into clicking a link.

Impact

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, send a request to a page that uses the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin, including the 'crsearch' parameter with the desired script payload. If the payload is not properly sanitized, the injected script will be executed in the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin to version 5.102.0 or later.
