A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 4.4.6. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on the 'snapFB' post meta value, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts execute when users access the affected pages.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users are advised to update the NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster plugin to version 4.4.7 or a newer patched version.
