Xpro Addons for Elementor Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Xpro Addons - 140+ Widgets for Elementor plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 1.4.24. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the Icon Box widget, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Xpro Addons for Elementor plugin to version 1.4.25 or later.
