Gutenverse WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Gutenverse – Ultimate WordPress FSE Blocks Addons & Ecosystem plugin, affecting versions through 3.4.6. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts are executed when users access the compromised pages.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to Gutenverse version 3.4.7 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
