HP System Event Utility Denial-of-Service Vulnerability Allowing Elevated Arbitrary File Writes

Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in HP System Event Utility, which could allow elevated arbitrary file writes. This issue has been addressed in version 3.2.16 of the utility.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a denial-of-service condition by causing the application to become unresponsive or unavailable, along with unauthorized elevated file writes.

Remediation
