ThemeREX Bassein WordPress Theme Local File Inclusion Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A local file inclusion vulnerability has been identified in the ThemeREX Bassein WordPress theme, specifically in versions through 1.0.15. This vulnerability arises from improper control of filenames in include or require statements, allowing PHP remote file inclusion, which could be exploited to include local files from the target website and display their contents.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to local file inclusion, allowing attackers to include and execute files on the server. This could potentially be used to access sensitive information, such as database credentials, and could lead to a complete takeover of the database, depending on the server's configuration.
Remediation
