Adobe Premiere Pro Out-of-Bounds Read Vulnerability Leading to Arbitrary Code Execution

A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds read has been identified in Adobe Premiere Pro versions 25.5 and earlier. This issue arises when the application parses a crafted file, potentially leading to reading beyond the end of an allocated memory structure. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user, but exploitation requires user interaction, as the victim must open a malicious file.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in arbitrary code execution on the affected system.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to Adobe Premiere Pro version 26.0 or 25.6 LTS. These versions are available through the Adobe Download Center. For IT administrators, Creative Cloud applications can be deployed to end users via the Admin Console.
