Photobooth Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Photobooth versions prior to 1.0.1. This issue allows malicious users to inject scripts into user input fields through unvalidated form inputs.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Photobooth version 1.0.1 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed by adding input sanitization. Alternatively, all user inputs can be manually sanitized before rendering.
