A DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Gogs, an open-source self-hosted Git service, affecting versions through 0.14.1. The issue arises when an attacker stores an HTML/JavaScript payload in a repository's Milestone name. When another user selects that Milestone on the New Issue page, the injected script is executed, leading to cross-site scripting.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for DOM-based cross-site scripting, where an injected script is executed in the context of the user's browser.
Users can upgrade to Gogs version 0.14.2 or later to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
