Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the Jinan USR IOT Technology Limited (PUSR) USR-W610 Wi-Fi router allows for de-authentication attacks. This issue arises from the lack of management frame protection, which enables the broadcasting of forged deauthentication and disassociation frames without authentication or encryption. As a result, an attacker can disrupt connections and create a denial-of-service condition.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized disruptions of Wi-Fi connections, causing a denial-of-service condition.

Remediation

Jinan USR IOT Technology Limited (PUSR) has stated that the USR-W610 product is end-of-life and there are no plans to patch this vulnerability. Users are encouraged to contact PUSR and keep their systems up to date.
