A vulnerability exists in the NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux, specifically within a kernel mode layer handler, where improper permission management can be exploited. This vulnerability affects all driver versions prior to 595.71.05 on Linux(R595), as well as earlier versions on Linux(R580) and Linux(R535) across various NVIDIA product lines, including GeForce, RTX, Quadro, NVS, Tesla, and the Guest driver for vGPU 16, 19, and 20. This vulnerability could lead to a denial of service, unauthorized privilege escalation, information disclosure, data tampering, and arbitrary code execution.
