Fluent Forms Pro Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Fluent Forms Pro plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 6.1.17. The issue arises from the draft form submission endpoint, which is publicly accessible without authentication or nonce verification. This lack of security, combined with inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of form field data, allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when an administrator views a partial form entry.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the form entry, potentially leading to administrative account compromise.

Remediation

Users can update to Fluent Forms Pro version 6.1.18 or later to address this vulnerability.
