A deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's handling of Receive Side Scaling (RSS) configuration has been addressed. The issue was in the SFC network driver, where the driver improperly locked the RSS configuration, leading to a deadlock. This vulnerability affected the Linux kernel stable tree.
The vulnerability could cause a deadlock situation, where the system becomes unresponsive due to two or more processes waiting indefinitely for each other to release resources.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
