Joomla! Multilingual Associations Component Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the multilingual associations component of Joomla! CMS. This issue arises from a lack of proper output escaping, which creates an XSS vector in the comparison view. The vulnerability affects Joomla! CMS versions 4.0.0 through 5.4.3 and 6.0.0 through 6.0.3.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to Joomla! CMS version 5.4.4 or 6.0.4.
