Pioneer Corporation Products Insecure DLL Loading Vulnerability Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in the installers for several products by Pioneer Corporation, including the Stellanova USB DAC Amplifier and Stellanova Lite series. This vulnerability arises from an uncontrolled search path element, which may lead to insecure loading of Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). Consequently, arbitrary code could be executed with the privileges of the installer in use.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running the installer.
