Adobe InDesign Out-of-Bounds Read Vulnerability Allowing Memory Exposure

Vulnerability

A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds read has been identified in Adobe InDesign Desktop versions 21.1, 20.5.1 and earlier. This vulnerability could lead to memory exposure, allowing an attacker to disclose sensitive information stored in memory. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.

Remediation

Users can update to Adobe InDesign version 21.2 or 20.5.2. For managed environments, IT administrators can use the Creative Cloud Packager to create deployment packages.
