YugabyteDB Anywhere LDAP Password Exposure Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in YugabyteDB Anywhere that allows authenticated users to view LDAP bind passwords, which are stored in cleartext, within the web user interface. This exposure of sensitive credentials could lead to unauthorized access to external directory services.

The vulnerability could result in unauthorized access to external directory services by exposing LDAP bind passwords in cleartext.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to YugabyteDB Anywhere version 2.20.7.0, 2.23.1.0 or 2024.1.3.0 to address this vulnerability.
