Tanium Discover Uncontrolled Resource Consumption Vulnerability Allowing Denial-of-Service

A denial-of-service vulnerability due to uncontrolled resource consumption has been identified in Tanium Discover. This issue affects users with the Discover Locations Write permission, allowing them to disrupt the Tanium Module Server. The vulnerability is present in Tanium Discover versions prior to Update 20 in the 2024H2 release, prior to Update 13 in the 2025H1 release, and prior to Update 3 in the 2025H2 release.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a denial-of-service condition on the Tanium Module Server.

Remediation

Users can update to Tanium Discover v4.10.134 or v4.15.130, depending on their current version, to address this vulnerability.
