A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in CodeAstro Payroll System version 1.0. The issue arises in the '/PayrollSy-PHP/home_salary.php' file, where the 'salary_rate' parameter is manipulated, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. Reproduction

This injected SQL is executed by the database, allowing the attacker to manipulate database queries and access or modify data unlawfully.

Remediation

To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
