GitLab JSON Validation Middleware Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) versions 18.4 prior to 18.6.6, 18.7 prior to 18.7.4, and 18.8 prior to 18.8.4. This vulnerability could have allowed an unauthenticated user to exhaust memory or CPU resources by bypassing the JSON validation middleware's limits.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to memory or CPU exhaustion, causing a denial-of-service condition on the affected GitLab instance.

Remediation
