User Submitted Posts WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the User Submitted Posts – Enable Users to Submit Posts from the Front End plugin for WordPress. This issue affects all versions through 20251210 and allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the custom fields, enabling injected scripts to execute when users access the compromised pages.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to version 20260110 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
