NextMove Lite WooCommerce Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the NextMove Lite – Thank You Page for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.23.0. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, particularly within the 'xlwcty_current_date' shortcode. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the compromised page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to version 2.24.0 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
