Campcodes Online Loan Management System SQL Injection Vulnerability in ajax.php
Vulnerability
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Campcodes Online Loan Management System version 1.0. The issue arises in the file ajax.php, specifically when the action parameter is set to delete_plan. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate the id parameter, injecting malicious SQL queries that could be executed by the application. This exploitation could lead to unauthorized database access, data modification or deletion, and exposure of sensitive information.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, enabling attackers to interfere with the application's database queries. This could result in unauthorized data access, data manipulation, and in some cases, executing administrative operations on the database.
Reproduction
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a POST request to ajax.php with the action parameter set to delete_plan. Include a crafted payload in the id parameter that exploits the application's SQL query handling, such as a boolean-based blind SQL injection payload.
Remediation
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection vulnerabilities. Additionally, input validation and filtering should be implemented to ensure user input conforms to expected formats. Minimizing database user permissions and conducting regular security audits can also help mitigate such vulnerabilities.
