A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Mtons Mblog versions through 3.5.0. The issue arises in the '/settings/profile' file, where the 'signature' argument can be manipulated to inject malicious scripts. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, and the published exploit may be used in the wild.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user.
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a POST request to the '/settings/profile' endpoint. Include a 'signature' parameter with a payload that injects a script, such as an image tag with an 'onerror' event. The injected script will be executed when the profile is viewed.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
