Stratum Elementor Widgets Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Stratum - Elementor Widgets plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.6.0. The issue arises in the Advanced Google Maps and Image Hotspot widgets, where insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes allow authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts execute when a user accesses the affected page.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Remediation
Users can update to Stratum - Elementor Widgets version 1.6.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
