A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) versions 18.2 prior to 18.2.2. This issue allows authenticated users to inject malicious HTML into scoped label descriptions, which could be executed under certain conditions.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user.
