Pixel Gallery Addons for Elementor Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Pixel Gallery Addons for Elementor plugin, specifically in the Easy Grid, Creative Gallery, Drag and Drop Grid, Custom Grid Layout, and Portfolio Gallery features. This vulnerability affects all versions of the plugin up to and including 1.6.7. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These injected scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Remediation
Users are advised to update the Pixel Gallery Addons for Elementor plugin to version 1.6.8 or a newer patched version.
