A critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda FH1205 router, specifically in version 2.0.0.7(775). The issue arises in the formWifiExtraSet function within the file /goform/WifiExtraSet. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely by manipulating the wpapsk_crypto parameter.
Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a stack-based buffer overflow, which can commonly result in arbitrary code execution or causing the device to crash.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a crafted request to the /goform/WifiExtraSet endpoint, including a payload that exploits the buffer overflow via the wpapsk_crypto parameter. This can be done remotely.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
