Wonder Slider Lite and Wonder Slider Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Wonder Slider Lite plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 14.4. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into image titles and descriptions. The injected scripts are executed when users access the affected pages, due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to Wonder Slider version 14.5 or later.
