Brocade ASC-Gateway OVA Medium Strength Cryptography Vulnerability on Internal Ports 9000 and 8036

Vulnerability

A vulnerability in Brocade ASC-Gateway OVA versions prior to 3.3.0 allows the use of medium strength cryptography algorithms on internal ports 9000 and 8036. This could potentially weaken the security of communications over these ports by allowing less secure encryption methods to be used.

Impact

The vulnerability could lead to inadequate encryption strength, allowing for medium strength cipher suites to be used on the affected ports, which could be exploited to weaken the security of data in transit.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Brocade ASC-Gateway version 3.3.0 or later to address this vulnerability.
