Drupal Cookies Addons Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the Drupal Cookies Addons module, affecting versions 1.0.0 prior to 1.2.4. The issue arises from improper input sanitization during web page generation, allowing malicious content to be injected and potentially executed. This vulnerability is particularly concerning when the Cookies Addons Embed Iframe submodule is enabled, as it could be exploited by users with the appropriate permissions to manipulate text fields that allow iframe usage.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
Remediation
Users are advised to upgrade to Drupal Cookies Addons version 1.2.4.
