Strong Testimonials WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Strong Testimonials plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.2.11. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the Testimonial Custom Fields, allowing authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the testimonial.

Remediation

Users can update to version 3.2.12 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
