LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.1.94. The issue arises in the 'latepoint_resources' shortcode, where the 'id' parameter is not properly sanitized or escaped. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users view the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress to version 5.2.0 or later.
