GhostPool Aardvark WordPress Theme Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the GhostPool Aardvark WordPress theme, affecting versions through 4.6.3. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed when users visit the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to a version of the Aardvark WordPress theme that is later than 4.6.3. Patchstack has also issued a mitigation rule to block attacks targeting this vulnerability.
