LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.1.94. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when users access the affected pages. This vulnerability is present in multi-site installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to LatePoint version 5.2.0 or later to address this vulnerability.
